Shanghai kicks off World Artificial Intelligence Conference

The conference, which runs from 6 to 8 July, has four main sections: conference and forum, exhibition, competition and awards.

This year's event aims to shed light on new avenues for industrial and technological advancement, driving innovation and development of the next generation of Artificial Intelligence (AI).

With more than 30 AI models on display, the conference aims to showcase the profound impact these models are having on various industries.

More than 1,400 distinguished guests have confirmed their attendance, including four Nobel Prize and Turing Award winners, more than 80 academics from China and abroad, and more than 50 corporate pioneers from renowned technology giants such as Huawei, Alibaba, Apple and Tesla.

This year's conference boasts the largest number of exhibitors and the largest exhibition space in its history.

Spread across 50,000 square metres, the venue will host over 400 companies and 50 startups showcasing a wide range of industries, including AI models, chips, robotics and smart driving.

Since its inception in 2018, the annual WAIC has focused on building world-class cooperation and exchange platforms, showcasing China's wisdom and Shanghai's innovative solutions to the world.
